Based in Austin, TX, the Law Offices of Ricky D. Green, PLLC, is a certified Minority and Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) through the North and South Central Texas Regional Certification Agencies and the Southwest Minority Supplier Development Council. The law firm opened its doors on February 16, 2005 to serve the interests of workers’ compensation insurance carriers and third-party administrators across Texas.



Daniel M. Black has been an associate attorney at the Law Office of Ricky D. Green, PLLC since 2023. Daniel attended undergrad at Mississippi State University and completed his law degree at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University.
Daniel primarily represents insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insureds across the state of Texas in workers’ compensation disputes in front of the Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation. Daniel’s practice also includes insurance defense and judicial review litigation, subrogation, medical dispute resolution, complaint resolution, subsequent injury fund reimbursements, and assisting with continuing education.
Outside the office, Daniel enjoys traveling, supporting his favorite sports clubs, being outside with his dog, and trying the best new local restaurants.

Steven M. Stamps has been practicing workers’ compensation defense for the Law Office of Ricky D. Green since 2010. Steven grew up in Arizona and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Arizona State University. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Austin to begin his legal education. During law school at the University of Texas School of Law, Steven studied a wide range of topics but still found time to work for a non-profit legal office and write for a sports law journal.
Steven began working for the Law Office of Ricky D. Green shortly before graduating from the University of Texas School of Law. Steven is a veteran in the Texas workers’ compensation system, handling benefit review conferences, benefit contested case hearings, administrative appeals, subrogation, judicial review litigation, Designated Doctor submissions, medical dispute resolution, complaint resolution, subsequent injury fund reimbursements, and continuing education across the State of Texas. Whether on the road or in the office, Steven is always available to answer your questions about workers’ compensation issues.
Away from the office, Steven enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and dog. Steven and his family are avid travelers and enjoy rooting for their favorite teams in a multitude of sports.

Ricky D. Green is a Texas native who was born and raised in Fort Worth and moved to Austin to attend St. Stephen’s for high school. Ricky then attended and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia where he received his Bachelor of Arts. Ricky next attended SMU law school and graduated in 1993. He began his legal career in workers’ compensation in Dallas, Texas, and then joined Harris and Harris law firm in March 1996. He worked at Harris and Harris for nine years and became a profit partner his last three years of employment at this firm. On February 16, 2005, Ricky opened the Law Office of Ricky D. Green and continues to dedicate his practice to representing insurance carriers, self-insureds and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation cases in Texas.
Ricky has specialized in Texas workers’ compensation insurance defense for more than 30 years and handles work comp claims in every part of Texas. He is a member of the workers’ compensation section of the Texas State Bar, has spoken at the Texas State Bar Advanced Workers’ Compensation seminar, and is authorized by the Texas Department of Insurance to provide certified continuing education courses. Ricky is a member of the Texas Chapter of the Public Risk Management Association, the Austin Black Lawyers’ Association, the Travis County Bar Association, the North and South-Central Texas Regional Minority Certification agencies and is also a licensed attorney in Oklahoma.
Ricky is committed to non-profit and philanthropic causes. Outside of the practice of law, Ricky has served as board member and vice-chair of the Board of Trustees at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School and recently served as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Breakthrough Central Texas. He currently serves as secretary of the board for Austin Geriatric Center that manages the Rebekah Baines Johnson Center and is a new board member of Austin Trinity Episcopal School. In his spare time, Ricky enjoys spending as much time as possible with his growing family, and enjoys traveling, exercising and theater arts.
